Feature and Follow (5)

FF 2012 Feature & Follow #106
This has been a great week! Learned how to do colonoscopies and take biopsies, and even took off a polyp yesterday! Now time to relax some and focus on my favorite hobbies-- blogging and reading and meeting great new people!

Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

Here are the rules to the blog hop!
To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

    • (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
    • (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
  • Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
  • If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
  • Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  • If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
  • If you’re new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

I definitely have moods as to what I want to read. Most of the time, I'm exhausted from work so I want something fast paced and straightforward and doesn't take me ages to figure out what's going on. That's probably why I was drawn to YA in the first place-- Great stories with clean, crisp writing. Occasionally, I want to read a sappy romance novel and will (gasp!) go to Nicholas Sparks or Emily Giffin. Other times, all I want is something new and unusual, which is part of the reason I became a reviewer! But for the most part, I stay in the paranormal, fantasy, dystopian, science fiction YA genre I love so much.

  4. I like YA for that reason too. I feel like adult fiction/chicklit takes forever to get to the action or romance. Thanks for stopping by today!

  6. Thanks for stopping by :) I, too, love YA and for very similar reasons. They are easier to follow and a lot of times better written.
